  • Daily Captain, : 1. Daily Core Routine (Morning, Midday & Night) Morning Goal Setting: Starting with a blank slate every morning without rollover baggage is refreshing. Setting custom goals is quick, though adding an inline quick-add field on the home view would make entering goals even faster. Midday Check-in: The single prompt asking if current actions align with remaining goals brings instant focus. Checking off finished items works smoothly without lag. Night Review: Closing the day honestly—naming the day in one word and logging what got in the way—gives great closure without the guilt or penalty of streak counters. 2. UI & User Flow Suggestions Reduce Screen Transitions: Moving between the daily check-in prompts and broader planning views (Weekly / Yearly) currently requires too many back-and-forth taps. Integrating the 3 daily check-in moments as clear, progressive tabs or cards on the main dashboard would keep engagement seamless. Streamline Goal Editing: Tapping an existing goal should allow quick inline edits rather than opening a separate modal or sub-screen. 3. Beyond Today Features Cookie Jar: A standout psychological feature. Having a dedicated place to store and look back on wins provides a genuine morale boost on tougher days. Accountability Partner: Sharing the weekly view with a partner works cleanly. Limiting their access to just the weekly summary strikes the right balance between accountability and privacy. Home Screen Widget: The daily quote widget updates reliably, though adding a mini toggle to see the current active goal directly on the home screen would make it even more practical. The "no streaks, no guilt" philosophy stands out among conventional habit trackers. Tightening the transitions between the morning, midday, and night steps will make the daily cadence feel completely frictionless.
  • Pet Horizon, : 1. Pet Profile Setup What worked: Creating a profile for my dog, Pluto, was quick and seamless. Entering basic details (name, breed, birth date, weight) took less than a minute. The unit toggle between kg and lb worked without issues. Suggestion: When selecting breeds, placing "Other / Mixed Breed" clearly at the bottom or having quick-select popular categories would speed up setup. Also, a quick prompt to crop or preview the profile picture before uploading would be a nice touch. 2. Feeding Schedules What worked: Setting up recurring meal times (morning and evening) was straightforward. The clean dashboard makes it easy to see when the next meal is due. Suggestion / Improvement: When logging portions, adding quick "+ / −" increment buttons (e.g., in 50g or cup intervals) would save time instead of typing numbers each time. Also ensure scheduling meals for later in the day doesn't throw a validation error about times being in the past. 3. Medication Tracking What worked: Adding a medication entry with dosage, frequency, and custom instructions was smooth. It's helpful for tracking recurring treatments like monthly tick/flea meds or deworming cycles. Suggestion: An "as-needed" (PRN) toggle alongside fixed schedules would be great for temporary medicines (e.g., post-vet pain relief or probiotics) that don't need a strict daily recurrence. 4. Care Reminders & Notifications What worked: Push alerts for walks and scheduled activities arrived reliably on Android. The notification text was clear about which task was due. Suggestion: Make sure the app only notifies when a task is due or missed, rather than triggering alerts every time an action is simply logged. Also, allowing a task to be marked as "Completed" directly from the notification banner would make daily tracking much faster. 5. Family Sharing What worked: The shared household concept is the app's biggest strength. Inviting another member to co-manage Pluto's care coordinates tasks without having to text back and forth. Suggestion: Add direct task delegation (e.g., assigning the evening walk or feeding specifically to one member). Also, ensure that if a user hits the paywall/upgrade screen while inviting members, there is a direct one-tap link to the upgrade page. 6. Expense Management What worked: Logging routine pet expenses (food, treats, vet checkups) with categories and costs was clean and functional. Suggestion: Adding a simple monthly total breakdown or pie chart by category (Food vs. Vet vs. Toys) would make it much easier to track monthly spending trends at a glance.
  • iDrinkALot; track the night, not the morning after, : 1. Sessions (Solo & Group): Creating both solo and group sessions was smooth and intuitive from the home screen. Inviting friends via the QR/friend code feature works well and makes starting a shared night out effortless. Live sync during the group session made tracking drinks together engaging and fun. 2. Adding Drinks & Photos: Logging drinks on the go is straightforward, and being able to attach up to 4 photos turns routine tracking into fun memories. Drink database feedback: The drink catalog covers the basics well, but popular ready-to-drink options are missing. For example, I searched for BuzzBallz and couldn't find it. Expanding canned cocktails and brand-specific drinks would make logging much faster. 3. Stats & Experience: The real-time stats—especially the ml-to-units calculation, session duration, and the "Sober by" estimate—give clear visibility into where you stand. Looking back at the summary stats and all-time records after ending a session is clean, simple, and satisfying. Overall, the core loop of creating sessions, capturing photos alongside drinks, and checking live stats with friends makes the experience feel both practical and genuinely social.
