What we do
The hardest part of launching an app is getting the first users. People make amazing things that nobody ever sees.
TestMyBuild is a website where builders get their first real testers and honest feedback. You list your app. The team tries it and posts the first feedback on it. Once we list it, your listing goes public, and approved testers from the community can sign up to your app, use it and post what they honestly think.
Your live listing links to your app from a public page that search engines can find. Every listing starts with the team's feedback. Testers never pay, and you can earn the credits to list your app by testing other apps. If we cannot list your app, we tell you why, and 9 of your 10 credits come back.
How it works
- Paste a link to your app. We read its page and fill in the listing, and you check it.
- Submit it for review. The team tries your app and posts the first feedback on it.
- Your listing goes live, with a bounty you set for each approved post.
- Approved testers can sign up to your app and post honest feedback.
A tester earns credits for each approved post. A builder spends 10 credits to list an app, and those 10 become the listing's pool, which pays the testers.

Who is behind it
TestMyBuild is a product of Heegstra LLC. It is made by Jan Sytze Heegstra, the founder and sole member of Heegstra LLC, who builds his own apps and works from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Daily Captain, his goal planner, is one of the apps listed here.
The apps here are their builders'
Every listed app is made and run by its builder, not by us, apart from our own app Daily Captain, and comes with its builder's own terms and privacy policy. The team tries each app once before listing it, which is not a check that the app is safe, that it will keep working or that it handles your data well, so use your own judgement, as the Terms say. If a listed app asks for money or details that signing up should not need, or looks like a scam, stop and tell us at info@testmybuild.app.

How do I get the first users for my app?
List it on TestMyBuild. The team tries it and posts the first feedback, and once it is live, approved testers can sign up to your app and post their honest feedback. We cannot promise any number of testers, installs or results.
What does it cost to list an app?
Listing an app costs 10 credits, held when you submit it. If the app is listed, those 10 become its pool, which pays testers. If it is not listed, 1 credit is spent for the review and 9 come back to your balance.
What are credits and how do I earn them?
Credits pay for listings and for bounties. A tester earns credits with each approved post, and once your account is approved you can also buy them on the Credits page. They have no cash value, they never expire, and they are never paid out as money.
What is a bounty?
A bounty is what a listing pays a tester for one approved post. The builder sets it, from 1 to 10 credits, and it is paid from the listing's pool.
Do testers pay anything?
No. We never charge testers anything. Every listed app must be free or have a free trial. Some trials start with a card: cancel before the trial ends if you do not want to pay for the app.
Is it safe to list or test an app here?
Your app stays yours: you keep every right in it, and you let us show its name, logo, description and links on TestMyBuild and in our emails about it, as section 7 of the Terms says. A person reviews every new account before it can list or test. We try each app once before we list it, which is not a check that the app is safe, so testers use their own judgement.
Who tests my app?
First the team: a person on the team opens and tries your app before it is listed, and posts the first feedback, marked "from the team". After that, approved testers: people whose accounts a person has reviewed. Each posts one screenshot of their signup with their feedback, and a person checks every post before it appears.
Can I edit a live listing?
No. A live listing stays on TestMyBuild, and you cannot edit it or take it down yourself, so check everything before you submit. You can still change its bounty and add credits to its pool. If something on it is wrong, write to info@testmybuild.app.
What happens if my app is not listed?
We tell you why, and that reason is our feedback. 1 of your 10 credits is spent for the review and 9 come back to your balance. Common reasons are that the app has no free plan or free trial, or that its link does not open.
How do I delete my account?
On your account page, choose Delete account, then Yes, delete. Signing in within 30 days restores it. After that it is erased for good.
Where is my receipt?
Stripe sells the credits and emails your receipt when you buy. Your purchases and their receipts are also on the Billing page of your account.
