iDrinkALot is a drink logging app. Keep track of what you drink, how much, and when; so you always know where you stand.

Log drinks as you go. Set a unit limit and track your progress through the night. Share a session with friends and see each other's stats live. The app does the counting so you stay informed.

For adults of legal drinking age only.

WHAT IT DOES
Log over 300 drinks with adjustable ABV and volume. Live unit count and session duration update as you go. A stomach fullness slider adjusts the estimate curve. Backdate a drink up to 4 hours if you forgot to log it. A weekly unit tracker goes red when you go over your limit. Set session goals per drink type: beer, shot, wine, or cocktail.

DRINK WITH FRIENDS
Start a shared session and invite your friends before the night begins. Everyone sees each other's drink count, units, and session stats in real time. Tap any member to pull up their full breakdown.

THE SOCIAL FEED
Post your session when the night ends. Your friends see it in their feed with photos, your stats, and a like button. Tap any post to open the full breakdown. Add up to 4 photos. Tap any friend to see their all-time records. No usernames, no social graph mining, just QR codes and 8-character friend codes.

LOOK BACK
Full session history, weekly charts, a calendar heatmap, all-time records, and a Drinkdex tracking every drink you've ever logged.

Really fun! The core is where it shines: starting a solo or group session, adding drinks and photos, and looking back at the simple stats. Keeping track while having fun with friends is your strongest concept.

What works really well

  • Sessions: Home makes it immediately clear where to begin. Tapping + inside a session takes you straight to logging, so you explore the app naturally.
  • Adding drinks & photos: Photos are a great addition. It turns logging drinks into making memories.
  • Simple stats: ml โ†’ units conversion is very cool, and "Sober by" was the most interesting part for me.
  • Session goal is fun, Google login is there (very important), the PWA works like a real app, the QR for a group session is genius, and publishing a session is super smart. Keep the friends feed.

Growth (this is where 90% of your effort should go at launch)

  • Store listing: List in the App Store / Play Store ASAP. With a PWA people stay in the browser and don't take it seriously. Fine for testing mechanics, but if you want real users and payments, spend the extra day to get listed. On Android you could offer the PWA too instead of the Play beta.
  • Share to socials: Add a share button for Instagram/TikTok with a pre-generated image of the session (what they drank, stats, photos). People love to show off, so this is your growth machine.
  • Public profiles + usernames: Replace the friend code with a username (like Instagram or Daily Captain). Let people choose a public profile and what's shown publicly.
  • Always show "Invite to session": Even with zero friends, show it with a + so people keep inviting others.
  • When the app is live, the QR code should open the app directly.
  • Show friend requests on the main screen, not hidden behind the Friends tab.

Onboarding & messaging

  • The landing page doesn't tell me how this changes my life. Fewer hangovers? Drinking less? Show the result, not just "a drink tracker".
  • Android CTA is below the fold on mobile. Move it up next to the iPhone one.
  • Onboarding is too long and I can't go back. Cut the reading pages and let people act: take them to a feature and have them use it. Keep setup under 30 seconds.
  • Consider showing something of the app before forcing sign-in (if you see drop-off).
  • Set Your Limits: Use natural language. Instead of "unit limit and caps", try something like "How many glasses per week? We'll warn you when you're close." Make sure skipping still works fine.

Drink logging

  • Search by brand, not beer type. I'm in Mexico and drink Pacifico or Modelo; I don't know what "session IPA" or "Trappist" is, and most of your users won't either. Brand first, then volume. Let people add missing ones.
  • Some drinks look arbitrary (black tea, kombucha), while others are missing so make sure your catalog makes sense.
  • Add ounces for the US.
  • Show + / empty state when a session has zero drinks.

Note on: "Sober by"
Add a clear disclaimer. In the US especially, someone will drive, get a DUI and try to sue you because "the app said I was sober".

Bugs

  • Profile photo upload โ†’ "Bucket not found" error.
  • Onboarding: going back a step doesn't keep weight, height, age and sex.
  • Adjusting stomach fullness moves the whole page.

Small UI tweaks

  • Start Session overlay: tapping the dark area behind it should close it.
  • Location suggestions: use emojis matching the place type (๐Ÿฝ๏ธ for restaurants, not always ๐Ÿบ).
  • Profile: remove "Edit Profile" and let people tap the photo/name to edit.
  • Start session only lets me add 5 minutes. Also allow scheduling for later and inviting people.
  • Rename Stats to Memories for a personal touch.
  • The + in the top right may be made more prominent with a hover so the actionable button is priority.

In short
Make it more social and more fun. I can see you're having fun building this, and it shows. Focus on those fun concepts and keep the wording friendly. It's enjoyable to use and has real potential!
