PULSE is a free money app for Gen Z India. It keeps aside your bills, subscriptions, SIPs and plans, then shows one number: what's safe to spend until payday.

  • Safe to spend: one number every morning, plus how much per day
  • Quick logging: type "zepto 349" or "chai 20" and it's sorted
  • Life plans: save for real things like a Goa trip or a new phone
  • Splits with friends: share a link, split the bill, settle up
  • Can I afford this?: see the effect before you buy

Simple and private

  • No bank login, no SMS reading
  • Works on Android and iPhone, straight from the browser
  • Free to start at pulsemoney.in

Completely free.

This app is made and run by its builder, not by TestMyBuild. We tried it once before listing it, which is not a check that it is safe, keeps working or handles your data well. Use your own judgement.

How to test this app

  1. Open the app and sign up with your real email. Start the free trial if there is one.
  2. Use it the way you would use it for real, for at least a day.
  3. Come back here. Post a screenshot of your signup and what you honestly think. One post per app, worth the listing's bounty when approved.

Pulse is an awesome, engaging finance tracker. Being able to just ask "Can I afford this?" and get an instant answer is a game changer that removes the headache of manual math. But right now, the app only shines if users manually log everything perfectly. Onboarding & UI Keep it inside the app: The setup is fun and engaging, but it feels disconnected. Try blending it directly into the core app experience. Bank selection: Ditch the bulky buttons for a clean search bar with a "+" icon. Also, add an "x" so users can easily clear a selected bank. Explain the math: I got a $494 calculation on the "You're set" screen and had no idea where it came from. A quick tooltip or explanation would help. Desktop prompt: The overlay asking to install the desktop app is super clear and well done. The Data Entry Hurdle If I only add a $500 balance, Pulse tells me I can buy new shoes, totally ignoring my upcoming rent. Most people will not realize this is their fault for skipping the expense logging. They will just think the app is broken and bounce. Push for completion: Nudge users heavily to finish their full financial profile before they start asking the app questions. Connect banks securely: The real fix is safe, automated bank integration. If users do not have to manually log every purchase, they will actually stick around. Feature Idea: Proactive Advice Beyond just answering questions, Pulse should offer proactive tips. If it spots a tight budget, it could suggest cooking at home this week so you can comfortably afford a bigger purchase later. Giving users this kind of foresight allows them to directly and immediately see the tangible benefit of having your app in their pocket.
