1. App Store listing
Self-explanatory, good ASO, fun name. "Your circle of AI experts, assistants and characters" – clear, it works.
2. Website
- Matches the listing, everything is above the fold – very good.
- Make the copy more casual: "Messaging app to talk with AI friends and experts." Drop "and stories" and avoid "interact" – too professional.
Website bugs
- "Available for iOS and Android" isn't clickable on laptop. On phone it slides down and gets overlapped by the previous section.
- Header should stick while scrolling.
- Mobile menu only has 2 items, so collapsing doesn't make sense. When expanded and scrolling, the X disappears.
3. Onboarding
- "What matters to you most?" – direct, good. Show the value before sign-in or pricing.
- The 4 pages of reading: nobody will read them. Unused features make the app worse.
- Maya asking to turn on notifications – perfect way to ask. 👌
4. Make the characters sound human
- "What would help more right now: sleep or stress?" sounds like a robot. Most people won't respond.
- ChatGPT and Claude are useful but have no personality. Your edge is that it's fun to talk to characters.
- Try openers like "What are you up to?" or "If you were a drink, which one would you be?"
- Drop "personas" in the UI – just "messages".
5. Creating a character
- Why is Experts big and the rest small? Companion sounds too serious (try Friend), Assistant vs Expert is unclear, and you can't talk to a story.
- Companions look best: Captain Dave in an airport in a pilot uniform – I instantly know who he is. Experts is just a list of titles. → Use the companion style for every category.
- Picking a template (e.g. "Yoga coach") still says "Create your own" – feels like I clicked the wrong button. Show the template name instead.
- Expertise selection and weekly check-ins work very well.
6. Companions – ease people in
Going from casual AI use to an AI wife is 0 to 100. Talking to my dog or Grandpa Walt feels too close. Keep it sillier – more humor, less serious.
7. The real value: accountability
- Hydration reminders under Assistant – this is where it clicks.
- Reminder apps (water, meals, gym) are separate and boring. You do it all in one place, as a conversation: "Hey, did you drink water?" "No." "Why not?" – an accountability buddy.
- Go deeper here, with pre-made templates. People hate building custom stuff.
8. Rest of the app
- Ask AI, filtering, guest mode – all good.
- Auto-capitalize the name. Make sure characters use your characteristics. Put Done on the right.
- Paywall (weekly + yearly, Pro as default) and settings look good.
9. Your questions
Market fit? Yes – as fun characters you text with, not another AI chat. Strongest angle: the accountability buddy.
Too complicated? The components add utility. What feels complicated is the inconsistent setup flow and naming. Unify it.
Split per utility? No. One app, marketed differently per audience. Someone who starts with an assistant may ease into other uses later.
Bottom line
Strong foundation. Make the characters more human and fun, unify the setup, and lean into accountability. 👏
