Overall: really good basis and a solid concept. Here's what I noticed while testing, in order.
1. Landing page & messaging
- "Turn every website into recurring revenue" is too general. Lead with the result, not the process.
- Your strength is that it's more than a website (CRM, payments, etc.). Lean into it: "You do the sales, we handle the rest."
- Make your ICP clear. "For agencies" is fine, but it makes me think that I need a special plan if I am an agency, not that I am the main target.
- Suggested ICP: people who built client sites with Base44/Lovable and realized a website โ the whole picture (no CRM, no payments). "Are you a web designer? Use this for client websites" rides the trend.
- With TestMyBuild we got traction by targeting only app developers.
- Add a short comparison vs. competitors.
- IMPORTANT: Add "log in with google" and alternatives. Your target market will want this.
2. Pricing
- Show the cheapest plan first in the "we take nothing" section, with a plan selector.
- Selling internationally? Add a currency selector (default USD).
- Add an unlimited / Enterprise option, even just "Let's talk". Drop one of Starter/Pro/Agency to make room, or offer extra usage on demand. As a business owner I need to be sure that if for any reason I go over the limit, I am able to continue (with added usage if necessary). It also allows you to make more revenue quick.
3. Calls to action
- Demo + Start for free + sign in + buy = too many options. Consolidate into one main path.
4. Builder / onboarding
- "Describe your business in one sentence" is too vague. People type 2 words, get a weak site and think AI doesn't work.
- Add an option to expand the questionnaire (like Claude Design's clarifying questions). Big edge over competitors.
- Clicking a suggestion instantly generates and wiped my typed text which causes me to get the wrong result relatively quickly. I click one of the pre-defined options and immediately I am 100% bound to that. Pre-fill the text box instead and let me click Generate.
- Enter should send, not add a new line.
- Add drag & drop for logo/image uploads.
- Add save draft. Going back loses everything.
- Keep everything above the fold (slight scroll, "Enter to generate" disappears). I'd make sure it's not scrollable as it doesn't need to be.
- Booking: add a short how-it-works tooltip. Contact: add "Reuse WhatsApp number".
- Header text, WhatsApp, testimonials for input only show after generation. Ask upfront too.
- I would also add a selection menu for the type of WhatsApp CTA you want to add to the page. You can let people choose between "floating bubble", "footer line", "hidden" etc.
5. Generated site & preview
- Desktop looks good, but it ignored my request (turn the salon into an app comparison page).
- Preview buttons aren't clickable ("Call us", WhatsApp should work). The prototype should work.
- Mobile/tablet aren't optimized, so it looks broken. Quick fix: a tooltip "Doesn't look perfect? Click here" that sends a "mobile optimize" prompt.
- Some parts feel generic AI. Make it feel more human.
6. Publish & paywall
- Unclear what happens after paying. Say it: "Once paid, your site goes live at this link" and show the URL. Maybe a short how-it-works animation.
- Custom domain worked fine. ๐
7. UI
- Personal preference: add a light mode.
What I really liked โ
- Auto-generated WhatsApp button
- Desktop / tablet / mobile previews
- Custom domain setup
- The concept: CRM + payments + website in one is exactly what competitors miss.
