What the builder wants tested

Try using it and tell me your thoughts and I would like to get as much outreach as possible to potential clients. Thanks.

Free trial, then a paid plan. Testers never pay to test. If a trial asks for a card, cancel before it ends.

This app is made and run by its builder, not by TestMyBuild. We tried it once before listing it, which is not a check that it is safe, keeps working or handles your data well. Use your own judgement.

How to test this app

  1. Open the app and sign up with your real email. Start the free trial if there is one.
  2. Use it the way you would use it for real, for at least a day.
  3. Come back here. Post a screenshot of your signup and what you honestly think. One post per app, worth the listing's bounty when approved.

Alright, first impressions of the website. Lightning round on the design:

Website & first impressions

  • It looks vibe-coded at first glance.
  • Write the name consistently as NexTrim, capital N and capital T.
  • The logo in the top left isn't clickable. It should take me back to the homepage.

Hero section
"Full queue, quiet phone. Clients book through the link, Google Maps, Instagram, or your QR code so you can focus on cutting hair."
I kind of get what you're going for, but it's missing the obvious: show that it's for barbers. Above the fold, tell me three things:

  1. How are you going to change my life?
  2. What are you going to do for me?
  3. How are you going to do it?

Also double-check that this section works well on mobile.

Remove the "prototype"
The prototype on the homepage doesn't do anything ("Call next: Liam Walker, James Carter…"). It doesn't help me understand the product, so remove it. Anything that doesn't truly communicate your product shouldn't be there.

App store badges
"Coming soon on the App Store / Google Play": use the official store badges instead of the current icons.

How it works
I like the animation in this section, it's well done. But after "Clients book online" I'm thinking: so what, are you a booking service? Like Calendly or Cal.com? How are you different from them? That needs to be clear.

Call to action
Your main CTA is "Start your 14-day trial." That's not a reasonable first ask. I'm just visiting, I'm only looking around. Lead with "Try the live demo" instead.
Also, you don't ask for credit card details, so there's no need to call it a trial at all. Just say "Get started."

Live demo
The demo shop looks like any other booking tool. It doesn't show me what makes you different.

Bugs I ran into

  • Wrong language: after signing in with Google, everything was suddenly in Albanian and I couldn't change it. I had to refresh the page.
  • Session not saved: I closed the page, came back, clicked login, and had to log in again. I want to stay logged in.

What works really well
Right after creating an account I get my booking link. That's the first really strong point. It's simple, and people are definitely going to love that. Exactly what I want.

Onboarding dead ends

  • When I click "Add your staff" and then go back, the back option says "Setup" and drops me in Settings. It should take me back to the page I came from.
  • It keeps sending me to Settings. I added staff, but the onboarding never moves past step two. I can't get past it. Do the onboarding yourself and you'll run into it.
  • Make the onboarding optional so people can skip it.

Overall
Once I'm in, I get it: you're basically a booking service for barbers. That's not a bad thing at all. The features are simple and straightforward, and that's what I really like. Adding services, walk-ins, setting hours and adding a shop photo are all very easy. Nice work.
You just need to tie up the dead ends and make sure everything works correctly. Sign-up giving me my link immediately is the hook, so keep that and clean up the rest.

Thank you for your review. I will implement the fixes. Just one question, what way do you think is best to do outreach to potential clients?
