It has just the bare minimum if you have any ideas feel free to ask

Free trial, then a paid plan. Testers never pay to test. If a trial asks for a card, cancel before it ends.

This app is made and run by its builder, not by TestMyBuild. We tried it once before listing it, which is not a check that it is safe, keeps working or handles your data well. Use your own judgement.

How to test this app

  1. Open the app and sign up with your real email. Start the free trial if there is one.
  2. Use it the way you would use it for real, for at least a day.
  3. Come back here. Post a screenshot of your signup and what you honestly think. One post per app, worth the listing's bounty when approved.

Signing up worked fine this time (OTP), so whatever you fixed since our last chat did the trick. I could get straight in.

Website
Looks good. Pretty standard and simple, which I like, no unnecessary information.

The problem is that the explanation is way too general. "The small stuff handled" tells me nothing. Same for "Daylift keeps the everyday running of a home in one place…". Okay, but what are you going to do for me? How does my life change when I use this?

On your other app you handled this well with a demo/prototype on the site. I don't think you need one here since people can just sign up for free. But the landing page does need to answer two things clearly:

  • What does the app do for me?
  • How is my life going to improve, and how will you make that happen?

Today page / first impression
I land on the dashboard and see Due today, Inventory, Chores, Shopping list, Meal plan, Habits. Where do I start? No idea.

It says "Nothing needs doing around the house today. Shopping list is clear." Okay, so what now? Do I do nothing? On day one there's literally no action to take on this page, so I just leave it.

The navigation itself is really smart though. "Due today" → "All chores" takes me straight to the chores section. Clicking something just moves you to the right place. Very well thought out, and collapsing works nicely too.

What's missing is a starting point:

  • Add a short onboarding for the first day
  • Put one example item in each section
  • Show me one thing to do, then the next, then the next

Inventory
Adding a room is quick and simple, just two questions. Keep it that quick. Adding an item to a room also makes sense.

But why do you want to know what my stuff is worth? Where I put things, okay, could be useful. But the value? Is that the point of the app? If you keep it, explain why, and add an option to hide the dollar amounts. I don't think people want to share or show that.

Chores
This is going to be the valuable one. People will like it, so I'd move chores to the top.

Shopping list
Works well and looks good, I like the design. Great addition: make it shareable. My mom writes the list, I go to the supermarket, tick things off, and she sees what's done in real time.

Meal plan
Also straightforward and the UI works. Really useful too, in my family someone else needs to know what to cook.

The bigger issue: the why
Every section on its own works. What's missing is why I would use any of it. Why add chores? Inventory? A meal plan? Habits? What happens when I do?

  • Will you help me complete things?
  • Will you help me remember?
  • Will you send me notifications?

Give each section a clear reason and result. For example: plan your meals so you can share them with your mom and she knows what to cook. Or if she's not home, someone else can cook instead.

Family sharing
Add a "join the family" option so a household can use it together. That's also what would connect all the sections to each other.

Summary
The pieces are good, they just don't connect yet. Add an onboarding, explain the why behind every section, and let families share it. That'll make a big difference.
