Overall
Really solid app. The foundation is strong, it's highly customizable, and it's a very complete solution. You don't need much more. Your biggest challenge will be people misconfiguring it.
What's working
- Clear value proposition on the landing page: turn visitors into customers.
- Onboarding is quick, straightforward and simple. (It didn't import my Shopify catalog, but that's because I didn't have one yet.)
- Agent customization is excellent: personality, tone, knowledge base.
- Recovery features are really good.
What I'd improve
- Explain the "how" in your marketing
I understand what you do, but not how you turn visitors into customers. Spell it out simply, e.g.: "We add a chat bubble to your site that isn't just customer service, it's a trained sales agent."
- Drop "Shop with AI" from the widget
This is the most important point. Many people have had bad experiences with misconfigured AI agents (you ask for a blue scarf and get a red one), so seeing "AI" on a widget makes them avoid it. I've personally given up on a company after their AI support couldn't solve my problem and wouldn't let me reach a human. Use something neutral like "Get advice" instead. Market the AI to shop owners, not on the widget to their customers.
- Onboarding flow
- After clicking "Enable widget", show the "Continue" button next to the theme editor option.
- I suspect most people will skip the in-app walkthrough. Track it to confirm.
- Instead of the full tour, point first-time users straight to the agent settings: "Your widget is live. Here you can configure your agent's personality and how it talks." That's your strongest feature, so lead with it.
- Conversation logs + owner feedback
- Log all conversations.
- Let the shop owner quickly mark each one ๐ / ๐ and optionally add a reason.
- Use that feedback to suggest agent optimizations.
- Careful: auto-learning can backfire and make the agent worse, so the owner should always confirm changes.
- "Ask Aurevia" suggestions
It gives good recommendations (e.g. "change the tone to Gen Z"). Add a clear apply/save button so the owner can confirm the suggestion with one click.
- Sticky save bar on the agent page
When I change settings on the agent page (persona, handoff, etc.), the save button sits all the way at the bottom, so it's easy to leave without saving and lose the changes. Make it a sticky save bar that floats at the bottom of the screen and appears as soon as there are unsaved changes (e.g. "You have unsaved changes โ Save / Discard"). SalesIQ and others have the same problem, so this would be an easy way to stand out.
Growth opportunity
Expand beyond Shopify. Strong agent configuration is exactly what makes or breaks AI sales tools (we learned that ourselves with AI dialing). Integrations like Zoho SalesIQ and Uchat (I know it's absolutely missing there) could be quick revenue wins, since most competitors don't let you customize the agent this well.
What to market on
- "An AI agent on your website that is actually well configured."
- High customization
- Knowledge base
- Conversation logs and owner feedback
- Privacy (if you can make strong claims there)
Biggest risk = biggest selling point
Users misconfiguring the agent, getting bad results, and blaming the app. But that's also exactly your opportunity: most AI agents out there are bad because they're poorly configured, and your app is built to fix that. Anything that helps owners configure it well (guided setup, feedback loop, suggestions) both protects your reputation and is the core of your pitch. Lean into it: "Bad AI agents are a configuration problem. We solve that."
