Overall: The app looks very clean and feels native to iOS. Onboarding is short and I was able to get started quickly. I'd recommend it to anyone going on a group trip or managing shared money with others.
What works well
- Welcome screen: The tagline ("built for families to save together, stay connected, and build financial strength as a community") is clear. I immediately understood what Ehel does.
- SMS verification: The code autofills from Messages, so I never had to leave the app.
- Short onboarding: Phone number, verification, name, and contacts access. It's quick and easy to follow.
- Design: Clean and consistent, with a native iOS feel.
- Integrations: Having chat and funds in one place is useful, and the integration with Ayuuto is a nice touch.
Suggestions
- App Store optimization (ASO). This isn't a problem with the app itself. Better keywords, title, subtitle, and screenshots would help more people find Ehel in the App Store.
- Phone number input with autofill. iOS autofill inserts the country code (e.g., the leading "1" for the US), which conflicts with the separate prefix selector. I'd suggest either detecting and stripping a duplicate country code, or adjusting the allowed digit length based on the selected prefix. That way autofilled numbers aren't rejected or cut off.
- Funds section onboarding. After signing up, "New chat" and inviting contacts made sense. The chat feature is self-explanatory, but the Funds section needs a short intro or walkthrough that explains what it is and how to get started.
- Growth Strategy I think a good growth strategy would be allowing group chat creation with just 1 person and add an invite link to the chat to in that way kind of "import" a group conversation from WhatsApp into Ehel and have people go "Let's continue in Ehel, so we can manage the finances better, here's my link:". Consider integrations with existing messaging apps for growth.
